Kind of obscure, but an old one by Brian Wilson from the ’60s – “Keep Your Eye On Summer” -don’t think it appeared before it was included on his 1998 CD “Imagination.” Nice tune!
Still love Bruce’s th of July Asbury Park (Sandy), plus Girls in Their Summer Dress and Waitin on a Sunny Day. Also Boys of Summer by the Eagles isn’t bad…
Wow, can’t believe I just dredged this up from the depths of my memory: Hot Summer Day by It’s a Beautiful Day. (You have to be OLD to remember this one, but I used to love it, and it fits, so there you go! Also, on thinking more, I think Boys of Summer was by Henley, not Eagles…but you probably already knew that. Also, Ray LaMontagne does a nice summer song – but I forget the name of it!
